Compare your service with competitors on the Digital Marketplace.

Overview

Searches the Digital Marketplace for competing services and produces a competitive analysis covering features, pricing, certifications, support, and market positioning. Includes SWOT analysis and recommendations for differentiation.

Usage

/gcloud-kit:compare My Cloud Platform

Arguments: Service name (must match an existing service directory).

Prerequisites

• Service must exist with at least a service design
• SDD and pricing are optional but improve analysis quality

Output

services/{name}/competitor-analysis.md

What it does

1. Loads your service details (design, SDD, pricing) and tender-intel.md if present
2. Searches the Digital Marketplace using marketplace data or WebSearch — and, when tender-intel.md exists, backs competitor claims with real award counts/values and notice URLs (who actually won public contracts, not just who is listed)
3. Identifies competing services in the same lot and category
4. Performs competitive analysis:
   • Feature comparison table
   • Pricing benchmarking
   • Certification comparison
   • Support level comparison
5. Analyses positioning with SWOT framework (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats)
6. Generates recommendations for pricing, features, and positioning
7. Suggests search keyword optimisation
